Which firmware should I choose?+
QMK is wired: the halves link with a USB-C to USB-C cable you can plug and unplug safely (no TRRS shorting), and you remap with Vial. ZMK and RMK are wireless: Bluetooth or USB-C to the computer, with the halves talking wirelessly. RMK doesn't support the Cirque touchpad, so it's only available without one.
Where should the roller go?+
Left, right, both or none — the price is the same. Each roller takes the place of 2 keys on its half; skip it and you get those 2 keys back. By default a left roller controls volume and a right roller scrolls; both can be remapped.
Kit or assembled — which should I pick?+
Pick the kit if you already own Choc V2 switches and keycaps or enjoy building. Pick assembled if you want to start typing right away.
Can I use regular MX switches?+
No. MIX is designed for Kailh Choc V2 low-profile switches.
