Defects and shipping damage

If your order arrives with any of the following, email cubekb_studio@outlook.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos or a video:

• Damaged in transit
• Wrong model, color or configuration
• Missing parts
• An assembled board that doesn't work out of the box

Once we've confirmed the issue we'll send replacement parts, swap the item or refund you, and we pay shipping both ways.

Warranty

• Assembled boards and kits: 1 year from delivery. If hardware fails in normal use (PCB, controller, battery, roller, touchpad), we'll repair or replace it.
• Kits ship soldered and assembled; you only add switches and keycaps. Damage caused while installing them (bent switch pins, damaged hot-swap sockets) isn't covered. Write to us anyway — we'll help you troubleshoot.

Not covered: physical or liquid damage, modified circuits, unsuitable chargers, and normal wear such as shiny keycaps.

Returns for other reasons

Apart from the statutory right below, we don't generally accept returns for reasons other than defects, so please check your configuration before ordering. You can cancel or change your order for free before it ships — just email us as soon as possible.

Customers in the EU and UK

Under your local law you may cancel your purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason:

1. Email cubekb_studio@outlook.com with your order number to tell us you're cancelling.
2. After we reply, send the item to the address we give you within 14 days. You pay the return shipping and any import charges.
3. We refund you through PayPal within 14 days of receiving the return, including the standard shipping you paid.

Items must be complete and resaleable. If an item has lost value through handling beyond what's needed to inspect it (for example, visible signs of use), we may reduce the refund accordingly.

EU customers have at least a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity. Our warranty above doesn't affect those statutory rights.

Duties and import taxes

Orders ship from China.

• Europe (EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), the US, Japan and South Korea: a duties & taxes charge is added at checkout (12% of the order for Europe, 5% for the US, Japan and Korea; none on Korean orders under $150 or Japanese orders under $100, which those countries don't tax). We ship duty-paid: we prepay the full import VAT and duties and cover any difference ourselves, so there's nothing more to pay on delivery. If you return an order, this charge is refunded along with the items.
• Elsewhere, customs duties, import VAT and clearance fees are paid by the buyer and are set by your country's customs. If a parcel comes back because these charges were refused, we refund the order minus shipping both ways.
